Briefing Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill
The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill, being debated this afternoon 11 Dec 2023, is the result of the campaigning work of the Leasehold Knowledge Partnership over the last 11 years – including briefings with the Law Commission, officials, CMA, FCA, editorial reports of shortcomings and injustices in the sector and public campaigning. It includes the work of the APPG.

The three reports of the Law Commission - on enfranchisement, reforming leaseholder Right to Manage and commonhold - are the foundation of the governments’ development of policy, although commonhold is not addressed in the Bill.
